Tanks on ice!

During the construction phase of the Premia Skating Arena, Koger & Partners became a part-owner of the arena. Inevitably we started to think, hockey why don't we give this fantastic sport a try. This led to the creation of our own hockey team, which we named "Purikad". Our newly formed team not only became an enjoyable hobby but also an outlet for company team spirit. Now there is more than just work that unifies us, and many of us couldn't imagine life without hockey. These fine important new dimensions have helped raise Koger & Partners to a higher level of professionalism.

Our team quickly found a fitting slogan, "tanks on ice", because in the beginning that's exactly what we were. Many of us were just learning how to skate, and, as such, falls and bruises became our regular guests. Today the "tanks" are moving quite qraciously and our enthusiasm for the sport has grown so much that we play and practice many times a week. And lets not forget our 8AM Monday morning meeting: Hockey!

What was initially spontaneous affection has grown into something substantial a serious social mission. By supporting youth activities on ice in Tallinn with 2 million kroons (1 euro = 15.64 kroons) last year, we hope that perhaps we will have helped someone discover a talent that may otherwise have gone unnoticed. Interest in social sponsorship activity has grown to become a serious challenge for all the employees of Koger & Partners. To better serve the community, Koger & Parters has decided to hire a sports club manager who have started work on June 1, 2004.

So the answer to the question, are we trying to help promote the re-birth of hockey is a sound YES! Why shouldn't Estonians be able to excel at hockey if all of our neighbours are able to? Hockey to us is about belief and hope, and besides, it's the sport of our lattitude!
